Reveal
On app instances that integrate the Counterspy SDK or Watermarking SDK, an imperceptible mark is added to video content that is being played, identifying the content source and app instance while avoiding the disclosure of PII.
When you have obtained a sample of pirated video content, use the Reveal Service to extract the watermark and trace the piracy.
Upload Video
On the left navigation bar, select Reveal.
On the right upper corner of the Reveal screen, select Upload Video.
Select a file you want to upload or drag and drop it into the frame. When done, select OK.
Extraction List
When one or more videos have been uploaded, the Reveal screen shows the videos as a list.
In the extraction list:
- Status: The current status of each extraction. Possible statuses are: Uploading, Pending, Extraction and Extracted.
- Uploading and Extraction statuses show a progress bar that shows the progression of the particular state.
- No result: No watermark was found. This usually means that the video was not obtained from your system.
- Failed: A watermark was found but it was not strong enough for accurate identification.
- Extraction Results: The result of the extraction. If the extraction is still in progress an ellipsis (“…”) is shown. When the extraction is complete, if successful, clicking on this column leads to the list of extraction results.
- Name: The filename of the watermarked video, as originally entered.
- Upload Date: The date when the video was uploaded.
- File Type: The extension of the file type that was uploaded.
Extraction Result
Select an item from the list to see the results of the reveal.
