Test your setup with Verimatrix's test player

Verimatrix provides a no-frills, as-is test player for basic testing of encrypted content.
Anyone can access a unique instance of the player here.

To configure the player for your account, press the gear icon at the top of the screen.

Enter the following information:

  • FairPlay Server
  • FairPlay Certificate: Use the absolute path to your specific customer FairPlay certificate. The certificate is associated with only one account.
  • Widevine Server
  • PlayReady Server
  • Token Private Key: The secret key that you saved while creating the Service Access Key in the Multi-DRM platform. Your private key is cached only in your specific browser instance.
  • Token Key ID: The Service Access Key ID for the specific DRM being tested. If your Service Access Key is a Multi-DRM key, this value will work for FairPlay, Widevine, and PlayReady license requests. Use the Token Key ID that is associated with the Token Private Key.
  • Issuer: The issuer name for the private key that you used during Service Access Key creation.

Add an encrypted video stream to the test player with Add Stream at the top of the screen. If the stream successfully plays audio and video, the test is a success.

Alternatively, you can use the open-source Shaka Player for testing your encrypted content. Verimatrix can provide you with instructions for this, if required.

Another option is to use integrated video players for testing license retrieval and content playback.
